Park High

Year 7 Feedback

We asked some of our Year 7 students how they felt about their first year at Park High and the transition from primary to secondary school.  All the children remembered either a Pastoral Support Worker, Head of Year or Head Teacher coming into their primary schools to chat about what to expect from Park High and they felt this helped settle any worries.

’I was worried about being bullied but this didn’t happen at all! My favourite memory is the reward trip to Blackpool to see the circus. My Dad went to Park High and my brother and cousin.’

‘I was excited about coming here and my only fear was about getting lost! The highlight of Year 7 has been all the sport!’

‘I’ve loved the sports especially netball. I was worried about getting lost and I did get lost!  It was okay though as the Year 11 children helped me.’

‘The highlight of starting at Park High has been sports especially football, hockey and netball. My sister came here so I knew what to expect and wasn’t worried.’

‘My highlight has been football and being Team Captain of the Year 7 team who won the Football League! I also liked the famous authors coming into school to talk to us!.  I’m looking forward to Year 8 and not being one of the little ones!’

‘Before I started I was a bit nervous as wasn’t sure what to expect or what the atmosphere would be like. I settled down in a couple of weeks and felt like I’d always been here.’
