Headteacher's Blog

It's been a week of smiles and celebrations at Park this week!

The focus of our personal development this week has been student voice and student leadership.  All forms have nominated student voice leaders and our student Head of School, Tom and the Deputies, Niamh, William and Kai all received their official badges in whole school assembly.  In keeping with our theme of respect for this half-term, next week is Recycle Week and we'll be looking at respecting our environment and our planet.

It has been delightful talking to the children as they leave school about some of the exciting activities they are completing in their lessons.  We have budding chefs making swiss rolls and potato and leek soup under the inspiration of Mr Rigby-Wilson; ambitious designers making 3D lights under the watchful eye of Mr Hird and skillful Sportsmen and women involved in all sorts of sporting activities keeping them physically and mentally healthy with our fantastic PE staff.

On Thursday it was National Teaching Assistant day, an event that is held across the UK each year on the 16 September.  We have been delighted to take part this year.  Our teaching assistants are a pivotal element of our Quality of Education team and provide bespoke support and challenge for the students in their care.  Our students presented them with a small token of appreciation and a hand written thank you card.

Congratulations to all our students who achieved rewards this week, you are true ambassadors of the Park family and we are very proud of you.  Have a lovely weekend everyone.  Mrs Eulert
