Getting to grips with group work

"Think, Pair, Share"

Year 10 Biologists focused on group work to create a bubble of security when tackling challenging GCSE questions; a safe space where they could think for a while, say whatever they liked and get it wrong! Lesson group work enabled the students to admit if they didn’t understand and then collaborate, gain confidence and learn together.  It is easier to say ‘we don’t get it’ rather than ‘I don’t get it’!
