Headteacher's Blog

We can't believe that 2022 is here already...

The children came back to school earlier this week looking really smart and ready to get into the classroom.  Their mature behaviour as we lateral flow tested over 700 children on site was simply exemplary and ran very smoothy.

Inevitably, there has been some disruption from covid related absence, but the school has measures in place to minimise this.  If your child needs to self-isolate, but feels well enough to continue with their education then they can follow their normal school timetable on Teams; here they can complete the same work that will be completed in class.  Currently, the school is managing the staff absence rate and as always we will keep you informed of any updates.

There is an awful lot to look forward to this term, including our House novels, the children's selection of co-curricular activities, trying out our new 3D printer, inter-house sports, comic relief and I have heard talk of another pantomime perhaps at Easter!

Here's to brighter mornings and lighter nights!
