Modelling Radioactive Decay...
As part of their Year 10 Physics scheme on Atomic Structure, students develop an understanding of Radiation and its uses, including cancer treatment.
Today, they used dice to model the random nature of radioactive decay and next lesson, they will be calculating half lives for different isotopes. They will then be able to select appropriate isotopes for different uses such as smoke alarms and radiotherapy.
