U15 Girls footballers in English Schools 1st round

The U15 girls met Bradford Forster Academy on Wednesday night and it was a goal fest!

In order to try and give more opportunities for girls to play football we have, this year, entered teams in the U13 and U15 English Schools competition.  The U15's got their campaign off to a flying start with a big win against Bradford Forster Academy.

The predicted storm did not arrive meaning there were good conditions for playing and we raced into a 3-0 with Cyra-Jo Jackson scoring a hat trick inside the first 3 minutes.  More was to follow with Hannah Beebe, Isla Holgate, Isabelle Riley and Lexie Phair (2) all scoring further goals as we went to half time 8-1 in front.

The second half actually saw the girls play some even better football as they added more goals.  Lexi Phair took her tally to 4, Hannah Beebe completed her hat trick and Imogen Taylor scored a hat trick of her own!

There was some all round excellent play with Lacey Byker and Poppy Nutter both unlucky not to get on the score sheet and with our back 3 of Lexie Tillotson, Leah Harvey and Macy Rollinson looking very solid there was little for Millie Storr to do in goal but she coped easily with any attack from the opposition.

A good start and there are bigger challenges ahead but well done to all the girls.
