Yr10 ASDAN visit the Carer's Cafe

ASDAN is part of the learning support curriculum pathway and offers alternative educational experiences, like this one which took place last Wednesday. The year 10 students have been researching local charities and looking at how they raise money and where the money goes. This will then link into our students setting up their own fundraiser, looking at profit margins and advertising. We visited the Carer's Cafe in Accrington where students developed life skills by ordering their own lunch and then had the opportunity to interview the organisers about the best methods of raising money for charity. All students conducted themselves in an exemplary manner and were a credit to the school and their families.
