Burnley Junior Parkrun Welcomes You...
Published 23/04/23Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. Burnley junior parkrun is a 2km run held at Towneley Park every Sunday morning. It is dedicated to 4-14 year olds and their families. To run, all you need to do is register on the parkrun website and print (or save on your mobile phone) and barcode to show at the finish. Then, turn up for the warm-up by the large park anat 8:50am on a Sunday.
There is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along whatever your pace and parents can run alongside children.
If you're feeling more confident or aged over 14, parkruns for anyone are held at Towneley Park and Holt House every Saturday morning at 9:00am. Again, just register for free, bring your barcode and run/jog or walk for fun.

In Burnley, the parade at Towneley Park saw Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers marching up to the Hall to salute the Mayor and hear a short presentation about St. George's Day. It is wonderful to see that so many of our students take part in such a variety of activities outside school and see the pride they have in what they do.
