Whilst we enjoyed the warm weather this weekend, some members of our school team were busy overseeing fairly dramatic demolition as part of our school building improvements. The G block staircase (or zone 5 as it's now known) is no more!
We now, however, look forward to a much lighter, brighter and bigger dining room space in the (very near we hope!) future.
Celebrating Ambition!
At Park High School, we celebrate students who embody our learning habits and values both inside and outside the classroom. Park Points are awarded to those who demonstrate these qualities, and each week, the top five students with the most Park Points receive the Park Point Award!
🎉 Congratulations to this week’s winners! 🎉
Each week, students earn credits in every subject for actively engaging in lessons and producing outstanding work. At the end of the week, the Student of the Week award is presented to the top two students in each house who have received the highest number of credits.
A huge congratulations to this week’s Student of the Week winners!
Huge shout out to students and staff who navigated extreme heat for their D of E sliver qualification this weekend. Thanks to students for giving 100% and being super company throughout and huge thanks to the staff supporting students and making these experiences possible. Go team Park!
After four weeks of GCSE examinations, we have finished the week and exam season with Year 10 mocks in English, Maths and Science.
Year 10 have been superb and shown maturity in preparation for next year.
We are so proud of them.
Some great green pen feedback annotations on this sunny Thursday!
Here's Robbie and Gracie responding to their teacher's feedback after the 'Do It Now task' with comments and made revisions made with green pen.
We are working hard to embed green pen feedback and annotations into habit - when teachers ask for green pens, every student has their green pen out ready to respond to the teacher’s feedback. And of course, the responses are instantly visible because of the green colour - making the new learning obvious.
Today is National Thank a Teacher day.
Today, ten of our enthusiastic year 9 students attended Safran Nacelles, Burnley as part of 'Workplace Wednesdays'. They had a tour of Safran where they were able to learn about the different careers within the engineering aerospace company. This visit allowed our students to gain a positive insight into the world of engineering and allowed them to explore the different pathways which they could take in the future. Our students had many opportunities to ask questions, and today definitely gave them a look into different career pathways within aerospace engineering.
