Remote Learning Provision

When should I use Remote Learning?

Remote Learning should be used in the event of an unavoidable school closure. It also covers students who are unable to be in school, when the school is fully open, but are able to continue with their education.

In the event of an extended school closure students would be provided with a blended learning offer which would be a mixture of online lessons via MS Teams and set work.

Where do I find Remote Learning?

Students are provided with termly Knowledge Organisers which contain the core knowledge they need for each subject. Students can use Look, Cover, Write, Check to learn and revise.

All students have a login for the Student Area via Microsoft in addition to Microsoft Teams.

This area contains work that aligns with the core curriculum that is being delivered in lessons (please see instructions). Where subjects have a practical aspect this may vary.

Revision strategy tutorials can also be found on the website to support with revision.

If you are having any problems with your login please email icthelpdesk@apex-trust.org

How long should I spend on Remote Learning?

Key Stage 3 students would be recommended to complete a maximum of 5 hours per day.

Key Stage 4 students would be recommended to complete a minimum of 5 hours per day.

As always, if you have any question please do not hesitate to contact your child's form tutor or Head of House.
