U13 Girls football

The Under 13 girls football team made a good start to their English Schools Cup campaign with a convincing win at Blessed Trinity.  A good start to the game saw us score early goals through Poppy and Lottie. Madison and Eleanor were in command at the back to restrict Blessed to very few chances and, when they did have a chance, Pola dealt with it comfortably in goal.  The midfield three of Heidi, Mia and Betsy controlled the game extremely well with some great passing giving Lottie and Courtney the opportunity to attack from wide positions.  With the score 2-0 at half time Park created further opportunities in the 2nd half.  Orla and Lucy came on to the pitch and maintained a solid defence and Frankie showed some excellent skill and pace going forward.  Further goals came from Betsy with two long range strikes, Lottie with her 2nd of the game, Frankie with a great finish and Poppy with a hat-trick, giving a final score of 8-0.

A great start to the Year for the U13 girls and we look forward to seeing how they progress.  Well done to all the girls.
