Year 7 Steps Up for the Community!

From Park High to Open Door — kindness delivered one step at a time!
Park High School is proud to celebrate the compassion and community spirit shown by our Year 7 students during a recent food drive. In a heartwarming initiative, students collected a generous amount of food donations to support those in need within the local area.
Once the donations were gathered, Year 7 pupils personally walked down to deliver the items to The Open Door Centre in Colne. This act of kindness not only provided essential supplies but also demonstrated the students’ commitment to helping others.
The Open Door Centre, established in March 2000, is a drop-in support centre located in the Waterside ward of Pendle—an area facing high levels of social deprivation and declining employment. The Centre operates a not-for-profit snack bar and serves as a vital lifeline for individuals experiencing social isolation and marginalisation.
Park High is honoured to contribute to the Centre’s mission and is incredibly proud of our students for their empathy, initiative, and community engagement.
