Workplace Wednesday

Today, Miss Barker took 10 Year 8 students to Colne fire station as part of Year 8 Workplace Wednesday. This was a fantastic trip, and all of the students who attended were highly engaged, asked thoughtful questions and learned about the wide range of job roles within the fire service.

Students had the opportunity to try on the uniform, explore the equipment inside the fire truck. Mark the fireman spoke about the different training requirements for the role as well as the numerous opportunities available. They also learned how important physical fitness is when working within the uniformed services. Thank you to Mark for the enjoyable tour, we look forward to attending again soon!
