Cricket Cookies

Year 10 had the opportunity to make some cookies from cricket flour. These crickets are 'reared' in the UK and milled into flour for the food industry. They contain 70% protein, so they are considered more sustainable and environmentally friendlier than other sources of protein on the market. While they will be unlikely to completely replace traditional sources of protein, they will play an important part in helping feed a growing world population that requires good sources of protein in their diet.
