Athletics success
Year 9 and 10 were in athletics competition this week.
After the first event last year, what is hopefully going to become an annual event, the Pendle Vale Sprints for Year 9 & .10 took place on Wednesday night.
The faced paced competition involves teams of 4 from each of the Pendle schools taking part in a series of sprint events, 60m, 200m, 300m (girls), 400m (boys), 4x100m relay and a mixed relay.
Park pupils put in a fabulous display of speed to dominate the evening. A huge amount of pupils took 1st place in their event with Gemma Roberts, Max Belshaw, Connor Smith, Markas Laurasunas, Tyler Cross, Michelle Botchway, Kreant Botchway and Jade Huggitt all winning their events. In other races Leah Harvey, Katie Murgatroyd, Amber Whitlock and Spencer Catherine all finished a close 2nd.
When it came to the relays there was further success as Brook Franks, Sam Handley, Daria Stan and Daniel Crossley all took their chances to shine.

Year 10 boys - Runners-Up

A brilliant evening with some outstandingly brilliant pupils, well done to all involved. We will look forward to the Year 7 and 8 event on Wednesday 21 June.
