Eureka! Problem-solving for Year 10...

It was allegedly Archimedes who coined the term 'Eureka!' after discovering that the volume of an object is equal to the volume of water it displaces. He used his revelation to help him to establish the authenticity of his Gold Crown, which he doubted was made of pure gold. This week, year 10 students have been putting the theory to the test and working out the volume of some irregular objects. They have then used this to help them to calculate density and then compare their accuracy to published values. Facing some challenges along the way, they have shown some great resilience and teamwork. Well done Year 10!
