Park Pupils Shine again
Park pupils put in another fantastic performance at the Inter Schools Cross Country
Thursday afternoon saw the annual Pendle Schools Cross Country, an event which Park have been very successful in for the last few years. Once again our pupils put in unbelievable effort and gave us all many reasons to be proud. With 6 team trophies on offer as well as individual places up for grabs the event started with the Year 7 girls. An excellent team effort, including Courtney Townson finishing in 3rd place, meant we won the team event to get off to a great start.
In the Year 7 boys event Logan Davis (1st) and Jacob Dowd (2nd) led the field home with Park boys featuring in 7 of the top 12 as a dominant performance saw the boys also crowned champions.
In the Junior girls a superb performance from Year 8 pupil Darcie Belshaw saw her win the race and with 7 girls in the top 10 Park also took the team event.
In the Junior boys another superb effort meant that it was a close contest but we were edged into 2nd place in the team event despite good runs from a number of pupils.
In the Inter girls Lottie Hesketh led from the start and finished way out front and was followed closely home by 3 other runners in the top 6 to secure the team trophy.
In the final race of the day Sam Midgley was outstanding as he also led from start to finish to be crowned Pendle Champion. Our other boys dug in with a superb performance on a tough course to ensure we won the last trophy of the day.

An absolutely amazing day with our fabulous pupils. Every year at this event they wow us with their attitude, approach and work rate and this year was no different. A huge well done to all the pupils involved.
