U14 Pendle Basketball Champions

Earlier in the week, Park girls displayed some excellent basketball skills and great composure to be crowned overall champions of the tournament. Park played Primet in the first match which was a tough battle as they faced some tough competition with some impressive drives to the basket by some talented pupils from the opposition. However, Megan Wheeler and Leah Harvey were strong in defence and refused to allow Primet to take the lead at any stage during the match.  Park then took on Marsden Heights who struggled to gain possession from our determined squad and Lottie Hesketh and Hannah Beebe were on form, scoring a number of baskets to win their second game. 

The final game was against Pendle Vale and by this time the Park team were fired up and excited as they had the overall title in their sights after winning their first two games. Phoebe Law, Imogen Taylor and Kara Turner were assured and impressive as they performed some fantastic fast passes down the court where the Park attackers were waiting to sink the ball into the basket and win the game 10 - 2.

A great performance and outstanding effort and attitude from the girls throughout the tournament and as always we are proud to be Park!
