Year 11 secure the treble!

Year 11 faced West Craven in their final league game this week.

Monday night saw the Year 11 team play their final league game of the season at home to West Craven.

After 5 years of Pendle league football the boys defended their proud, undefeated record, having never lost a game against any side from Pendle.

Another quick start saw us take an early lead through Joe Hopkinson before some defensive confusion saw West Craven equalise to make it 1-1.  Park enjoyed a lot of possession and a number of chances came and went before we retook the lead.  Luke Airdrie, who has developed a small reputation as the player most likely to miss from a yard out, showed this does not matter when you have the quality to score from outside the box with a clever finish showing great vision, before Aiden Lister scored to make it 3-1 at the break.

In the second half we continued to have more possession and the quality told as Connor Denton made it four which was followed by an outstanding free kick from outside the box by Tom Garner.  Just before full time George Redman scored the final goal to make the score 6-1.

Another excellent campaign meaning we are league champions again capping a brilliant 5 years at Park, well done to all the boys.  We now focus on the Lancashire Cup with a quarter final away against Bishop Rawstorne which will most likely be played in the week beginning 25 April - details coming soon.
