  • Year 7 Building Bridges

    Published 27/02/26

Year 7 students were wonderful in Building Bridges this week. They demonstrated our value of respect to Year 7 students from Marsden Heights who visited Park. They were thoughtful in their discussions about different religious practices and cultures to their own. They discussed racial stereotypes, and asked questions about each other's religions, cultures and cuisines. They discussed the power of building positive relationships with people of different backgrounds, races and religions in order to create an integrated and peaceful society. They were amazing! Well done Year 7!

  • Apprenticeships Visit

    Published 12/02/26

It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and we were delighted to welcome Lauren from the Apprenticeship Team at Nelson and Colne College into school. Lauren hosted a lunchtime drop-in session across all three lunches, giving students from every year group the opportunity to learn more about apprenticeships. She shared key information about the wide range of apprenticeship opportunities available at Nelson and Colne College, as well as explaining the application process and next steps. Students really enjoyed finding out more, and it was particularly encouraging to see so many of our Year 11 students keen to gather additional information as they start thinking about their future pathways. A big thank you to Lauren for supporting our students during National Apprenticeship Week!
