A big thank you to Caitlin from Burnley college, who came into school earlier today for a lunchtime drop-in session. All year groups had the chance to speak to Caitlin, ask questions and find out all about the numerous opportunities which Burnley college has to offer! It was fantastic to see so many students engaging in conversations about their future opportunities!
This morning, our year 10 engineering students had the opportunity to hear from PWA Group, an engineering company based in Cross Hills known for their amazing work within the sector. They delivered an engaging and informative presentation, giving our students a valuable insight into the world of engineering. They spoke about the pathways which students can take within their company, from work experience, apprenticeship opportunities to university degrees. PWA group also shared some of their exciting projects which they have worked on and are currently working on which demonstrated the real-world application of engineering, and it allowed our students to see where engineering can lead. We are very grateful to PWA Group for attending our school. This has definitely inspired many of our engineering students and allowed them to think more about their future options within engineering!
