Your hard work and dedication have brought you this far and we couldn't be prouder. Embrace the next chapter with confidence.
The first two days of Summer School 2023 have been fantastic. The pupils have been exceptional and have thrown themselves into many activities including trampolining, orienteering, parachute games, team building and much more. Many have made new friends and are looking forward to meeting them again for the second two days of Summer School in August. Well done new Park High family!
Blue skies and sunshine after a spot of sightseeing in France. Students are having a brilliant time and are representing school brilliantly #ParkOnTour #TeamPark #Broadening Horizons
PGL enjoyed an amazing evening around the campfire last night, to get them in the mood for their final full day of activities today!
They are scheduled to start their return journey at 2pm tomorrow, so should be back to school to tell their tales at 4.30pm.
PGL have had a fantastic first day and the silent disco last night was a big hit!
The French trip have arrived safely and are having a fabulous time. There have been a couple of problems with the trip phone but rest assured all is good!
WOW, what an epic 2 weeks we have had seeing so many of our Park Family completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions. This fantastic achievement has been organised by The Dream Team; Mr Spencer and Mr Jackson who have been pivotal in enabling this great event to go ahead so successfully, It is no mean feat taking so many students on such activities and it could not have been possible without a team our wonderful staff at checkpoints, walking with students and going the extra mile (literally!) to ensure the even runs smoothly. Many of the staff have completed a rigorous training programme themselves in their own free time to become First Aid and Lowland Leader trained.
Our second year 9 group have smashed it today tacking the trails of our beautiful Pendle countryside. They began the day collaborating in their terms to cook up (and eat) some wonderful concoctions using the Trangeas. Some of them tackled tent assembly and got packing them away again down to a tea. Afterwards, they completed their 8 mile trek in glorious sunshine. Waterproofs at the ready for tomorrow's wet weather......
A (very wet) Tuesday and Wednesday have seen our first group of Year 9's taking to the trails to complete nearly 20 miles of walking for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. We are so proud of how they have persevered in difficult and cold conditions. Huge well done to them all and we hope they are having a well deserved rest this evening.
