    As we build up to LGBTQ+ history month the society took a look at the controversial section 28 law that was in effect between 1988-2003. This year's theme is politics in art. We will be looking at some inspirational figures and how they impacted the political landscape over the next few weeks.

  • Board game club D&D campaign.

    Last week saw the return of our Tuesday night board game club. Students have created their own D&D world and characters to start adventuring in. Other pupils got stuck a game or two of exploding kittens, they plan to do some model painting next session. Every Tuesday 3:30-4:30 room 315!

  • Kulfi

    Year 9 and 10 have been making their own ice cream. Kulfi is a traditional Indian ice cream and has a strongly characteristic cooked-milk flavour and dense icy texture. Last week they conducted a sensory analysis of the product and will be researching other ice creams from different cultures this week.

  • Year 9 Artist Replica

    In Art, our Year 9 GCSE students have been studying a new artist called Caitlin Hackett. Students have started to create their own artist replicas by sketching out images of her work and experimenting with mediums such as coloured pencil and ballpoint pen to add detail.

    We are very impressed with the level of skill shown in this work so far! Well Done Year 9 Art!

    In Performing Arts, Year 8 students have dived straight into their new topic this half-term of learning about 'Dance around the World'. So far, they have explored workshops in the styles of Contemporary and the Haka focussing on stylistic features and the cultural heritage of these dance styles. We are looking forward to studying Bollywood next week!
