This is a normal school day and all students should be in uniform unless they have been told otherwise. The topics being covered in each Year group can be seen in the coloured grid below and strengthen the work covered in Personal Development lessons. It has been a productive week for years 7 & 8. We easily made enough tuna pasta salad to feed 150 people! Students demonstrated their knife skills using the claw grip and bridge hold, while learning how to use the hob and cook pasta safely. The room got a little steamy with so many pans on the go, but everyone showed great resilience and time management skills.
Who knew that hair rollers, combs, string and bubble wrap would make the most amazing 'brushes' for our mark making this week. It's great to have a class full of very enthusiastic students who are thoroughly enjoying the work they are creating.
It has been a battle of the Houses this week!!
Year 11 form groups were rewarded in RISE with chocolate after a challenging couple of weeks of Mock Examinations. They deserve it!
