Year 7 have been putting their weighing skills to the test by making muffins. They used different fruits to creat a coloured sponge. Frozen blueberries created these lovely bright purple muffins with white chocolate inside.
Using the last of their butchered chicken year 10 pan fried a chicken breast to get a crispy skin before roasting it. They then cooked pasta and made fresh pesto sauce from toasted pine nuts, Parmesan, basil, garlic and olive oil. Pupils could add extra salad items and cheese like mozzarella to improve their presentation skills.
Year 10 have roasted their chicken thighs and coated them in a honey and Hoisin sauce. They served it with roasted broccoli, onion and boiled rice.
Each week, students earn credits in every subject for actively engaging in lessons and producing outstanding work. At the end of the week, the Student of the Week award is presented to the top students in each house who have received the highest number of credits.

This week’s Workplace Wednesday visit took place at Favordale care home and what a fantastic experience it was! Miss Barker was blown away by the Year 8 students who attended this week. They were a real credit to the Park High School and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the residents and learning more about life and work within the care home. A huge thank you to Sarah for showing us around and to all the wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome. Our students loved chatting with the residents and learning about the different roles and careers available within the home. We can’t wait to visit again!
Our next SEND Coffee Club is Monday 5th October 
This is the first session of the year and we are looking forward to seeing everyone!
In year 8, pupils design and make a board game using laser printers to make the board, 3D printing for game pieces, polymorph for the dice and wood for the dice tower. Students have started measuring and cutting their towers this week.
