STUDENTS @ PARK - Week 9
Year 11 intervention has taken place this half term in practical subjects Health and Fitness, Business and Enterprise, Engineering, Graphics, Food Preparation and Computing.

At home students have been instructed to focus on revision for next weeks English, Maths and Science mock examinations. All students have their exercise books and Knowledge Organiser and should be following up on the revision techniques of ‘Look, Cover, Write and Check’ and putting into practice the workshop on using ‘Flash Cards’.

Year 10 experienced their first defeat of the season in a very tight game away against Marsden Heights on Friday evening.
The defence of Frasier A, Jayden H , Lennox K and Harry R-S (making his school debut) managed to deal with the Marsden Heights attacks confidently in a high intensity end to end first half. However, just before half time Marsden Heights broke the deadlock with a headed goal that gave goalkeeper Jacob M no chance of saving
In the second half our team came out really strongly. Louis C set up a number of chances early in the second half before Lewis T scored a beauty from the edge of the 18 yard box.
Despite continued pressure from our team and a flurry of attacks from Oscar M and Max M the team were unable to grab a second. In the final minute Marsden Heights broke away to score a winner and grab the three points.
Mr Allen told the team how proud he was of them as overall it was one of their best performances in the last two years.
The lads move onto their next game against Fisher More and away game in the Lancashire Cup against St Bedes, Lytham.

👏 A huge congratulations to this week’s Student of the Week winners! 👏
On Friday 10th October, the opening of the Art Exhibition entitled 'Walking and Talking with the Landscape' celebrated the creativity and hard-work of our GCSE Art students. The unique exhibition showcased artwork created by our students over the last 6 months and raised awareness of the environment. The exhibition featured stunning paintings, sculptures, poetry, installations and mixed-media pieces. We are incredibly proud of our students!
Here are more outstanding colour wheel homework projects from Year 7. The standard of the homework and the variety of materials used has blown us away!
Miss Hooper and Mrs Gibbons are absolutely thrilled with the creativity and hard work students have put into their Halloween competition entries. Watch this space for the winners after half term!
Working on their knife skills and learning how to use the grill year 7 have been making pizza toasties. Pupils can bring in any bread they want and a few have recreated a classic subway toastie for their dinner.
