Year 10 experienced their first defeat of the season in a very tight game away against Marsden Heights on Friday evening.

The defence of Frasier  A,  Jayden H , Lennox K  and Harry R-S (making his school debut) managed to deal with the Marsden Heights attacks confidently in a high intensity end to end first half. However, just before half time Marsden Heights broke the deadlock with a headed goal that gave goalkeeper Jacob M no chance of saving

In the second half our team came out really strongly. Louis C set up a number of chances early in the second half before Lewis T scored a beauty from the edge of the 18 yard box.

Despite continued pressure from our team and  a flurry of attacks from Oscar M and Max M the team were unable to grab a second. In the final minute Marsden Heights broke away to score a winner and grab the three points.

Mr Allen told the team how proud he was of them as overall it was one of their best performances in the last two years.

The lads move onto their next game agaisnt Fisher More and away game in the Lancashire Cup against St Bedes, Lythm.
