  • Workplace Wednesday

    Published 22/01/26

This week as part of Workplace Wednesday, Miss Barker took some year 8 students to Pendle Side Hospice. We had the opportunity to look around the hospice and learn about the wide range of careers within this amazing charity. Our students were spoken to by numerous members of staff about the career journeys and experiences. They also got to speak to the business team, nurses, carers and the catering team. It was a great experience and really interesting for our students to see how everyone works together to ensure that the charity is run effectively! Thank you to Leah who kindly welcomed us. We look forward to visiting again soon.

  • Year 9 MEGA Day

    Published 22/01/26

Year 9 students attended a Mega Cyber Day at a Nelson and Colne college this week, where they took part in the AI Apprentice Challenge. They worked hard in different teams, sharing ideas and solving problems together. One of our teams won the challenge with an excellent creation: an AI designed to help teach. Their idea focused on supporting students in different countries to receive an education, which impressed everyone. It was a great day out, and Miss Barker and Miss Lunney were very impressed with the students efforts and teamwork. Well done year 9!
