Published 08/10/26This week, our Year 8 students had the fantastic opportunity to visit Safran as part of workplace Wednesday. They explored the company, gained an insight into the world of engineering and learned more about the different departments involved in aerospace engineering.
It was wonderful to see our students engaging with the experience, showing curiosity and asking some fantastic questions. Miss Barker and Mr Horne were incredibly proud of every Year 8 student for their enthusiasm and excellent behaviour. Thank you to the staff at Safran who helped to make the visit rememberable, we do appreciate all of the efforts made each time we visit for workplace Wednesday!

Published 08/10/26A fantastic away performance from our Year 7 boys, securing an impressive 5–3 victory against Ribblesdale in the English Cup!
The boys produced a fantastic display of teamwork, technical ability and pure team cohesion from start to finish. They constantly showed great work rate, supported one another and demonstrated a real desire to keep pushing forward and find the next goal.
Xander was outstanding, scoring a fantastic hat-trick, while both Ollie and Chayse also got themselves on the scoresheet.
The boys should be extremely proud of their performance, with every player contributing to a brilliant team display. The determination, togetherness and positive attitude shown throughout the game were fantastic to see.

Published 08/10/26The girls have had a busy week, competing in both the English Cup and Lancashire Cup. With both fixtures taking place away from home, the girls showed a positive attitude and a fantastic willingness to test themselves against two strong sides.
In the first game in Ilkley, Miah demonstrated a fantastic never-give-up attitude, boosting the team's confidence by scoring two cracking goals. Orla was voted Player of the Match for her excellent work rate and consistent determination to win the ball back.
In the second game in Blackburn, Lucy stepped up as captain and encouraged the team to never give up. Lucy not only showed incredible enthusiasm and work ethic but also scored an unbelievable free kick from 25 yards, finding the top corner!
There were plenty of positives to take from both fixtures, and the girls should be extremely proud of how they stepped up, worked hard and represented Colne Park High School.

Published 08/10/26Last week, the Attendance Team hosted a pop-up shop to celebrate the attendance successes of our Year 7 students. Students shared their achievements and were rewarded with certificates and treats.

Published 07/10/26Year 7 have been putting their weighing skills to the test by making muffins. They used different fruits to creat a coloured sponge. Frozen blueberries created these lovely bright purple muffins with white chocolate inside.

Published 07/10/26Using the last of their butchered chicken year 10 pan fried a chicken breast to get a crispy skin before roasting it. They then cooked pasta and made fresh pesto sauce from toasted pine nuts, Parmesan, basil, garlic and olive oil. Pupils could add extra salad items and cheese like mozzarella to improve their presentation skills.

Published 07/10/26Year 10 have roasted their chicken thighs and coated them in a honey and Hoisin sauce. They served it with roasted broccoli, onion and boiled rice.
