Students are busy learning key information from their knowledge organisers during form time every morning. Exposure to essential information allows our students to learn more and remember more and interrupts the forgetting curve, enabling them to be the best that they can be.
On Tuesday 12th December our Year 11 students will be having a Mock Results Day this will include a Countdown to Leaving Assembly followed by opening the results slips from the Mock Examination Weeks - just like they will in August 2024.
Each student will then have an appointment with a representative from the Colleges, apprenticeship providers and local business's. This 10 minute appointment will involve questions about their next steps and how they are going to get there.

Art Masterclass.
Today, our budding programmers have been developing their Python skills in selection by creating their own multiple-choice quizzes ready for their practice programming project. The Computing Department are always happy to see keen programmers at work.
Our Young Enterprise are hard at work designing the marketing documentation for their business Hive-Mindz.
Hive-Mindz is focussing on making environmentally friendly bee homes for people to place in their gardens. With the support from the Young Enterprise Project and one of our very own student apiarist, students are developing their skills in business entrepreneurship, advertising and financing to showcase their product at the Company Programme Lancashire Showcase in April 2024.
The eco-friendly bee homes will be available to buy within the new year.
Students really enjoyed designing, making and explaining their specialised cell models -and what a fabulous display they all made for Miss Hallmark's lab!

The Bridge is an area in school which we feel incredibly fortunate to have! As you can see, it is a welcoming, calming space which offers students an opportunity to regulate and regain focus, as well as a place in which classwork can be completed.
Park runners continue to impress!
Tonight our Year 11 B Team participated in an excellent tournament at Fisher More. The team finished the tournament unbeaten with three wins and two draws to finish as runners-up.
The goals were spread around the team. Bobby Byker (2), Elliot Pickles, Sam Garner, Oliver Sanderson, Joshua Greenwood and Kasim Nevison all managing to get on the score sheet.
Isaac Foxcoft was outstanding in goal only conceding two goals in the five games. He was supported in defence by the Joshua Wright and Max Kibble. A hardworking midfield including Lucas Allen and Dylan Bignall managed to dominate possession in every game. Mr Allen was so proud of the team in their final tournament.
