Year 8 had a day focusing on careers. With external talks from Nelson & Colne College to team building exercises like this one. Groups were challenged with making a chair out of balloons, string and cellotape. Within a set time, each member was given a roll to perform and one was selected as the test 'victim'. 

PD Day Success!

Sian Heafield recognised for her relentless drive to maintain high standards whilst ensuring a child centred vision. Part of the nomination included the following "She absolutely “walks the walk” and models our values and behaviours daily. Sian has a real talent for supporting our students to meet school expectations with reasonable adjustments without deviating from the high behaviour expectations of the school.”     Well done Sian!

Well done to all our hardworking Year 11 students who have just finished their final mock examinations.  We are so proud of our students and how they have approached the two weeks of assessment. Students will receive valuable feedback in the next couple of weeks as they prepare for the full GCSE examinations that begin Thursday 9th May.

Mock examination results will be reported home to parents in the Spring Tracker reports at the end of this term

An excellent afternoon at the Burnley FC tournament

In preparation for making their pizzas this week year 8 have been learning about the function of gluten and yeast. Here they are kneading their dough to develop the gluten structure and make a smooth elastic dough.
