Eyes on to spot stomata on leaves!
This practical enabled students to apply and build on previously learnt microscope knowledge to practice the skill of effective microscope use. Students were looking at Stomata and Guard Cells on the underside of the leaf to enhance their new learning about the adaptations of the leaf for photosynthesis and gas exchange. Students then brilliantly linked this new learning to how plants can minimise water loss. #PracticalBiology #AQA #BuildingSchema #Progression #Application #AskTheQuestionWhy #TeamPark

It was touch and go as to whether HM Queen Elizabeth would make it in time due to issues during her chosen Amazon transit, but alas she did not let us down and did not disappoint as we helped our students to celebrate the Queen's jubilee.
Wishing you a wonderful half term and I hope you enjoy the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Promoting participation in sport and physical activity was top of the agenda for some of our Year 9 girls today!
What an incredible night! Our first school show in over two years, and it was a sell-out!
A huge well done to all our talented students involved, you were amazing. Your aspiration to perform and most definitely to achieve shone through in each and every single performance.
Thank you to all students and staff involved, it really wouldn't have been possible without you, now we begin the countdown for the next one! Watch this space...
