Today members of our student leadership team took time out from their mocks to spend some time with Mrs Eulert.
Once again the focus is on feedback this week as our Year 11 students finish their final mock examinations. From verbal to written, individual to whole class, staff are using a variety of proven feedback models to ensure our mocks accelerate progress and enhance confidence as students commence final exam preparations over the coming weeks #learningwalk #committment #studentsandstafftogether #feedback #mocks #GCSE

Year 7 Science pupils have been testing different substances with universal indicator solution. Their aim was to decide if they were acidic or alkaline and the challenge was then to use a pH scale to arrange the substances in order from most acidic, to most alkaline. They had great fun and really rose to their challenge by working collaboratively.
Year 10 students have been using plasticine and cocktails sticks to construct diamond, graphite and silicon dioxide. By building a model, they were able to develop their understanding of giant covalent bonding and identify how many bonds each atom can form within their structures. Their teacher; Miss Latif then had to work out which compound they had made and this really tested the accuracy of their models!
The Park family has welcomed some important visitors this week from Ofsted, and we must now await an electronic version of the final report and grading. As soon as we have the final report, we will be allowed to communicate the Ofsted grading, outcome and feedback with our students, staff and parents. I can tell you that our students have been absolutely brilliant - happily and confidently talking with inspectors about Park life and the school has looked and felt fantastic throughout. What is even more special, is that what the Ofsted inspectors have seen, felt and been part of is typically the norm - a true reflection of a school working together to ensure no one gets left behind. #proudtobepark
Year 10 Science students have been learning about the structure and function of the heart. As part of their learning, they dissected a pig heart. During the dissection, they were able to identify the main parts; valves, chambers and blood vessels. They really enjoyed being hands-on and worked brilliantly in groups.
Have you got what it takes?
