Year 7 Scientists studying 'Cells' have been tasked with making a model cell and just look at some of their amazing creations. They have used a varietyof different materials including play-doh, lego, tissue paper and cardboard boxes to show their understanding of the work we are doing in lessons.

It's been a really exciting week at Park and the Park Points are going from strength to strength!
Great to see so many new faces at under 14's basketball club Thursday night. After watching these guys practice last night we are so excited about the Lancashire Cup competitions this year.
Year 9 GCSE Art Students have been developing their talents through participating in a watercolour workshop led by Professional local artist Alison Greer.
Year 10 have fully embraced their first Personal Development day of this academic year.
Our Year 7's have enjoyed their first Personal Development Day learning about RESPECT. Activities included:
Capture the Flag, working respectfully as a team member,
Teamwork Spaghetti Tower, respecting views and instructions of others.
Build a Story, writing a short story about Respect using literacy skills.
Flag for Respect, showing different ways for respecting others.

As part of Personal Development Day, Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh students have been learning how to keep themselves and others safe, how to conduct a Primary Survey and how to put an unconscious casualty in the Recovery Position. They've also seen a CPR demonstration, learned how to make a 999 call and how to communicate effectively with a casualty. They've had fun, learned some invaluable skills and completed a part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
