Published 27/03/26On Friday, our Reading Ambassadors joined the Lancashire Book of the Year workshop at Accrington library where they discussed the longlist books with other participating schools. They were very excited to start reading the shortlist titles!

Published 27/03/26Miss Barker took 10 Year 8 students to Colne Open Door Centre as part of ‘Workplace Wednesday’. The students were truly inspired by the incredible work the centre does to support the community. They also learned about the wide range of roles involved and the many volunteers who give their time to help others. A huge thank you to Hannah and Jess for showing us around and sharing such valuable information all about what the centre offers. Our students left feeling motivated and full of ideas on how they can support the centre, through donating food, volunteering in the future, completing work experience, or raising money. Thank you to Nick the manager at the centre for helping us organise the trip! We look forward to returning soon!
