The learning buzz was really brilliant around school this morning. Our new staff are finding their feet and enjoying getting to know their classes. Students were engaged, involved and enjoying their learning. Miss Fielding and her class had definitely raised the morning energy levels during Year 8 Performing Art!!
Year 11 had an inspiring start to their GCSE art classes this week as they looked at an exhibition of work produced by our creative superstars who left this summer. They were wowed by the standard of work, and all felt inspired and ambitious about their own coursework.

This evening Park High School is united with the nation in mourning the death of Her Majesty the Queen. The Queen has been a constant in most of our lives, personifying duty, service, leadership and the values of our country. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this sad time.
With thanks to Queen Elizabeth II for her unwavering service to the country.
Tonight marked our first Leadership Development CPD of the new school year. We welcomed new colleagues who brought new ideas and contributions. Tonight's focus was on the use of deliberate practice and modelling to support staff in establishing classroom routines to drive our culture and allow students to realise their ambitions. Our leaders used scenarios and role play to practice professional challenge and develop leadership skills.
Eyes down and focused on our new learning!
Students have made such a super start to the new term. Uniform is immaculate, the focus and determination on making a brilliant start is evident all around us and our new Year 7 students have been fabulous and made most welcome by our older students who are supporting them in finding their way around. #TeamPark #QualityofEducation #GoodToBeBack #LearningWalk #Ambition
Our new starters had a brilliant time at Summer School ’22 getting stuck into a variety of different activities including orienteering, pebble art and team sports. In addition to this, students are more confident about their first day due to them familiarising themselves with the school site, getting to know a handful of staff and making new friends.
Students have already shown great strength and resilience during activities and been inspirational and loyal to others within their groups. What a great start!
We cannot wait to welcome our new starters into the Park Family tomorrow as they arrive in their smart new uniforms!
We are thrilled to announce that we will be presenting Matilda the Musical Jr this term! Auditions will be held on Thursday the 15th of September in the Dance studio 3.15pm.
All students are welcome and will be invited to collect any scripts/lyrics that may be useful for the audition on Monday the 12th of September during break time in the Dance Studio.
Rehearsals for the show will be every Tuesday & Thursday after-school, therefore students who audition must be prepared to commit!
Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Smith or Miss Fielding.

A highlight of today has been sharing our fantastic results with students and parents. We would like to thank our all our Year 11 parents who have played such an important part in the students journey. We all know how hard it has been at times the last three years, but also how hard the students have worked for these results.
A fantastic day celebrating the success of our Year 11's as they collected their GCSE Results. We are so proud of our students.
Great to see so many proud parents and students collecting results before going to college to enrol.
