Year 10 have been getting creative with gingerbread just in time for the festive season.
Year 9 recently improved on their samosa skills from year 7 by remaking them, but this time including lamb, beef or chicken in the filling. Their folding technique has really improved and their ability to judge and manipulate the sensory properties of the spices was also evident.
Getting into the festive spirit, year 10 have been making mince pies to hone their pastry skills.
Gluten-free pizzas have also been on the menu this term, allowing pupils with intolerances to develop their skills alongside those using traditional recipes.
Year 9 has been busy this term making pizza dough, pizza sauce and calzones.
Our Year 9's were involved in the district seven-a-side tournament this week at Fisher More.
Captain James Hindle was again impressive, sweeping at the back alongside Fraser Atkins and Harry Taylor.
