    Our Year 7's have enjoyed their first Personal Development Day learning about RESPECT. Activities included: 

    Capture the Flag, working respectfully as a team member, 

    Teamwork Spaghetti Tower, respecting views and instructions of others.

    Build a Story, writing a short story about Respect using literacy skills.

    Flag for Respect, showing different ways for respecting others.

  • Life Saving Skills for Duke of Edinburgh Students at Park

    As part of Personal Development Day, Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh students have been learning how to keep themselves and others safe, how to conduct a Primary Survey and how to put an unconscious casualty in the Recovery Position. They've also seen a CPR demonstration, learned how to make a 999 call and how to communicate effectively with a casualty. They've had fun, learned some invaluable skills and completed a part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

  • A balancing act for Year 11!

    Gymnasts, HGVs and Formula 1 cars have all been discussed this week as Year 11 are getting to grips with forces and their effects. They have been finding out how the stability of an object relates to its centre of mass. One of their tasks is to find the centre of mass of an irregular object and once they had, to balance it on the end of their pen with great success as you can see!

  • Year 7 Burning Crisp Challenge

    As part of their work on Energy, Year 7 have been investigating the amount of energy stored in crisps by burning them. The crisps then heated water and students measured the temperature change of the water to compare the energy value of the crisps.
