Published 06/12/21As the KS3 Design & Technology rotation carousel is reaching its climax everyone is super busy working hard to perfect their work in preparation to take it home. The Textiles students are creating their own fabric design through block printing and ultimately sewing it into a small bag. Materials Technology are open Mold casting, producing Pewter Jewellery, Graphic Communication are designing and making a new range of chocolates for 'The Gourmet Chocolate Company' and Food Preparation & Nutrition are completing the last of their five practical sessions exploring a range of dishes that promote a healthy diet.

Published 04/12/21After the success of their apple pies, pupils tackled a fresh egg custard to serve alongside it. This technique uses a bain-marie to safely cook the egg without scrambling the custard. It also tested their French vocabulary at the same time by introducing key vocabulary used in the catering industry. Pupils were able to translate the words using prior knowledge gained from their French lessons.
