Year 10 Physics pupils are studying the topic 'Electricity'. Today, they took apart a few non-working laptops to look at what they are made of. They absolutely love the opportunity to see inside and identify the components within the laptop. It paved the way for lots of discussion around PCB boards, LCD displays, circuit components, how wi-fi works and the many careers in laptop manufacture. The parts from the laptops will now be used by Design and Technology for technical drawings.
